Whitewater Rafting - 2010

The 2010 Troop 10 whitewater rafting trip took place on June 26-27.   We camped overnight Saturday at our usual great Barton Cove campground in Gill, MA.  On Sunday we rafted on two sections of the Deerfield River in Charlemont, with Zoar Outdoor Adventures.

The older scouts (14+) rafted on the "Monroe Bridge" section of the Deerfield River, consisting of class III/IV rapids.  The younger scouts rafted on the "Zoar Gap" section of the Deerfield River, enjoying class II/III rapids.

Pictures below were taken by Mr Wheeler on the Monroe Bridge trip.  Blemishes and marks on the photos are due to the camera film getting soaked as a result of going through the "Dragons Tooth" rapids.
